Final Works

"Name of Piece"
By: Jamie Hasbrook
This painting is meant to represent my inquiry directly, featuring obvious signs of disarray with yellow teeth, bloodshot eyes, and holes in her clothes, as well as the girl meaning to look astray. When creating this piece, I was planning for it to look ominous and for the blue of the persons skin to look unnatural and almost glowing, further highlighting the idea that she does not feel real, also represented by the vast amount of empty space in the background and odd color palette. Although I had different intentions with this painting in the first place, I am content with how it is coming together and overall the idea of the piece stayed the same throughout the process, and I only changed small aspects I thought would make the piece more clear and understandable. Although this piece is not completely done, I have a plan to finish it, and I think I will use this specific style more in the future as I found I enjoyed using it a lot during the making of this painting.
